Master Sergeant Edward C. Marallo Jr., son of Edward Sr. and Marie Marallo of Cottonwood Ranch retired from active duty after 26 years in the U.S. Air Force. A retirement ceremony was held ad Mountain Home A.F.B, Idaho on November 20, 2009.
His distinguished career took him to Kuwait, Egypt, Italy, Greece, Germany, the Netherlands and several bases in the United States.
Major awards were, Army Commendation Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with three oak leaf clusters and Air Force Achievement Medal with one oak leaf cluster.
His superior expertise would directly contribute to his unit being selected as the Hennessey Award winner for the entire U. S. Air Force in 2008.
Presiding at the ceremony was Major Eileen W. Kirkland, the Commander of the 366th Force Support Squadron, Mt Home A.F.B, Idaho.
Also attending were his parents, brother Carmine Marallo and sister Mari-Kay Bleeker of Cave Creek, Ariz., and many other friends and co-workers.
