Goodness Snakes Alive

Late Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 13, a Bull Snake exceeding six foot in length was spotted along Verde Santa Fe Parkway. Verde Valley Fire District fireman Ivan Anderson promptly responded to a call for help and captured Mr. Bull before he took a notion to cross the road and encounter the peril of getting run over by a vehicle. Ivan released Mr. Bull into a desert area in Cornville far from housing. Bull snakes are non-poisonous but they may bite. Courtesy photos
