Letter: A logjam created for political expediency

Editor:

When President Obama made his “recess” appointments to the NLRB last year, there is little doubt that he was trying to keep his liberal base happy and unified for the upcoming presidential election. Now, the consequences of his political machinations are coming to fruition, not that he cares since he is safely reelected. Unfortunately, the president is compounding the problem by ignoring the federal appeals court ruling finding the appointments unconstitutional by keeping the illegitimate appointees working.

Now, dozens of companies are trying to void or block rulings by the NLRB made since the illegitimate appointments. At least 87 companies and three unions are citing the court decision to protest cases within the department and dozens of others are citing the ruling in federal appellate court filings. Not only are the decisions of the NLRB board now suspect, but also the decisions of at least 10 regional directors whose appointments by the board are void if the board itself is illegal.

There is a saying that “manure runs downhill.” As the cases being contested cause new business to be delayed by the backlog, the department is being overwhelmed. Nothing in, nothing out. A logjam created for political expediency, or, as this administration would put it, “just another day at the office.”

@ MJ - It was truly my turn to laugh aloud. While it's obvious to everyone one that your humor is sardonic in nature, I was quite serious! Hahahahahahahaha...

Shake your head if you mean yes, nod if you mean no!

@ Mary Jane - You reactions are starting to come off as completely unhinged. The Left seem to believe that they hold the high ground when it comes to compassion and that is just another lie 'you people' tell yourselves to try and justify your racist, greedy, pandering agenda. You can't win an election based on the merits of your ideals so 'you people' just happen to 'find' votes in the trunks of cars a la Al Franken.

You believe the 'real world' is whatever your favorite NBC ABC Huffington Post pundits tell you. They speak in condescending tones and smirk when looking into the camera and say 'It's for the children' and all the while you applaud and say YES, YES that's what I believe too!!! Then you claim that anyone who disagrees with you is senseless and backwards.

There is no legitimate excuse for telling what you know are lies purported to be universal truths. On the contrary, it comes off as rather delusional and completely insincere.

@ Danny Smith - You reactions are starting to come off as completely unhinged. The Tea Party right wingers, such as yourself, seem to believe that they hold the high ground when it comes to patriotism and that is just another lie 'you people' tell yourselves to try and justify your racist, greedy, pandering agenda. You can't win an election based on the merits of your ideals because the voting public sees right through to your hypocrisy and hatred.

You believe the 'real world' is whatever your favorite FOX pundits tell you. They speak in condescending tones and smirk when looking into the camera and say 'Fair & Balanced' and all the while you applaud and say YES, YES that's what I believe too!!! @ Danny

You guys still dream of a fantasy USA from years gone by that never existed.

But, I hear this a lot from you conservatives: You heroes live in the real world and are the sole purveyors of patriotism, truth, morality, justice and the American way.

You know what they call that in Texas, Danny? Caca de toro.

Here in AZ, I just call it more conservative lies.

Actually P F mine was not an assumption. It was directed at one person and if you have read many of her posts over the last couple of years that was a pretty good description. I did not describe liberals in general, although your reaction is a very good indicator of how most liberals feel about conservatives. You know we are all bible thumping ignorant rednecks. We just tend to live in the real world.

Wow! A two-fer!

@ Danny and Brian

For me, it should be intuitively obvious to the most casual of observers:

The stereotypical description republicants use for a liberal's dissenting opinion generally includes something akin to Danny's "...people like you sit back and whine and complain, smoke your herbs and generally do nothing for society."

I am merely demonstrating that liberals could take the same thoughtless liberties describing republicant's and some of their cockamamie opinions.

We all could disagree without casting aspersions.

Danny, we all are hypocrites at some level.

P F, Why do you make such stereotype statements? If you would make a statement about a black person or a gay, you would have the ACLU her with the Rev Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton too. Why is it okay for you to stereotype people of any race, color or ethnic origin?

Really funny letter P F. Your liberal hypocrisy is showing. Mary Janes senseless backwards attack on me was fine but mine wasn't? I do drive a pick-up but everything else was wrong. I do not even consider myself to be that conservative. I just know stupidity when I see or hear it. We cannot as a country keep trying to spend our way out of debt. Liberals screamed that Obamacare cleared the Supreme court so it must be Constitutional, but only if it is considered a tax, Allbeit the largest tax placed on the American people at one time in our history, fine I will give you that argument. But Barry unconstitutionally appointed these people to the board and it was proven in court, but somehow THAT is all right. Seems I remember Barry promising the middle class would not see one penny of tax increases, just another lie. Just because you claim Bush was a bad President does not make Obama a good one.

I disagree with you.

None of the wars in our lifetime were fought to protect the Constitution. The fact is, many words have been written about the Constitutionality of a couple of them.

But, until I read your attack on Mary Jane, I haven't felt the freedom to call you a red neck Bible-thumping Bubba fascist sitting back and whining and complaining while driving your pick up truck smoking cigarettes and swilling beer all while making critical judgments about people you don't know.

You see, Danny, liberals also have a preconceived notion about who most republicants are and what they do, too.

The big difference is that you won't hear liberals calling republicants the 'intellectual elite," and consider it an insult?

Good for you, you served. I hope it isn't the highlight of your whole life.

Mary Jane, That is the most despicable comment I have seen on this site and that says alot. My family, myself included, has for at least 4 generations served and fought for our country and to defend what is arguably the greatest document ever written. While people like you sit back and whine and complain, smoke your herbs and generally do nothing for society. It is really funny how the lefts only defense for this terrible President is to proclaim he isn't that bad or to point out someone else is worse. Mary Jane you have no idea how we would be under Romney becuase unfortunately he was not elected. The left is just as greedy as you say the right is. And Ryan(Mr. Bond) 50% is soooo much higher, golly what was i thinking.

@ Danny Smith - What is the constitution you ask? Why it's that piece of paper you and Jimbo use every morning to wipe your butts with!

And yes, you're right about Romney's remarks. They are definitely pathetic!!! But no worries, the American people seem to have no problem seeing through the constant propaganda and lies of the GOP.

Not to nit-pick but Romney's comment was about "the 47%," not 48.

And the President's approval rating is 50% as of 3-13-13 at Noon.

Just sayin'

Constitution? What's that? This President could care less about the Constitution. It is about power and greed for him and his supporters and supportees. Is it irony that Romney got blasted for his 48% remark and now Barry's approval rating is (gasp) 48%. Prophetic I would say.
