Letter: Obama an exremely lucky 'Enigma of the Year'

Editor:

Time magazine's selecting B.H. Obama as Man of the Year is a travesty.

He is a guy who has been coddled and pampered all of his life. Childhood in Kenya and Hawaii. Free ride to college and law school. Then on to community gadfly in Chicago where he became minority poster boy for that corrupt political machine that put him in the state senate where he was so indolent and uninspiring that his best performance was to vote "present."

After two years of mediocrity and non-accomplishment in the U.S. Senate, the anti-Hillary wing of the democratic party nominated him to trounce lackluster John McCain.

Now he has prevailed over Mitt Romney and his comment that 47 percent of their voters are useless parasites.

He is not Man of the Year. He is an extremely lucky "Enigma of the Year."

You really need to raise the bar if you think this is coddled and pampered.

Isn't it interesting that people who diss President Obama never can come up with one shred of evidence to back up their insane rants. They apparently just believe what Faux News tells them to think.

A guy who was awarded the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize for doing nothing should have been designated Man of the Year immediately. It was, after all, an unprecedented accomplishment.

Article comment by: no matter how hard you whine... .

he is now the president of your country... you lost...get over it.

stop acting like a 2 year old that does not want to eat his peas.

the louder you scream the better it makes the rest of us feel about our votes.

thank you for being the reason a majority of the country decided against a republican in the white house... now you have 2 and 4 more years to keep whining and ensure future democratic victories. you all are your own worst enemies.
