Fifty-one top spellers traveled to Sedona Red Rock High School on Wednesday, Feb. 16 to compete in the 65th annual Yavapai County Spelling Bee. Each speller had already competed and come out on top of their school or home school group. After 19 rounds, 11-year-old Rachel Feingold of Abia Judd Elementary School in Prescott emerged the champion, with Connor Derby, Sedona Charter School, runner-up. Feingold will now advance to the Arizona State Spelling Bee on Saturday, March 26 in Tempe. Heidi Dahms Foster shot these photos of the county bee.
