Kenya elephants and Masaai culture were passions of Lynne Leakey, a long-time Sedona resident and a leading Africa tour guide for over 40 years, before she passed away suddenly while on safari last summer. She had been planning a July, 2015 safari especially designed for Sedona residents. Experience vicariously what Lynne had in mind at a tribute to her life and work, put together by some of her closest Sedona friends, on Friday at the Yavapai College Sedona campus, room 34.

JEROME -- Rescued cat Rocky is spending his days hanging with two other foster buddies in Jerome artist Sally Dryer's studio, but by Feb. 1 he'll be going to his forever home.

"Rocky was a man about town when we caught him," Dryer said. "He was probably abandoned up here. He was running around town, working the whole town, chasing chickens and everything."
