Verde Valley Wine Consortium receives Rural Economic Development Grant

The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) has awarded a Rural Economic Development Grant in the amount of $208,500 to the Verde Valley Wine Consortium, Inc. (VVWC), for business expansion at six Verde Valley wineries. They are: Arizona Stronghold Vineyards; Freitas Vineyard; Page Springs Vineyards; Alcantara Vineyards and Winery; Caduceus Cellars; and, Javelina Leap Vineyards and Winery. The grant application was prepared and presented by Tom Pitts, President, VVWC. The award was announced at the ACA's Annual Board of Directors Meeting in Phoenix last month.
