Who did you go to for advice when you were growing up? Was there a special person outside of your family that always believed in you? What if that special relationship never existed in your life?

Imagine a boy in your own community not experiencing that relationship. You can provide that!

It's your turn to be that person to a boy in our community! At Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters there are over 400 boys and girls waiting to be matched with a Big Brother, Big Sister or Family. Make an impact in a child's life simply by taking that first step and volunteering to be a Big Brother or Big Sister today!

Meet Brian, a polite and caring 11-year-old. Brian lives with his father and younger brother. His mother passed away about a year ago and the family recently relocated to the area.

Brian's favorite sport is baseball and he played in his previous town, but currently he does not have the opportunity to play. He likes playing video games, jumping on the trampoline and loves his dad's remote control car. Brian is interested in indoor and outdoor activities and is up for trying new things too.

He would like to go camping, go to amusement parks, bowling, 4-wheeling and go to car races.

In school, Brian gets A's and B's. His favorite subjects are math and science. His favorite book is War of the Worlds, although he doesn't really like reading for fun.

Brian is pretty social at school and likes to be around his friends. He says the most important things in his life are his dogs, Rosie and Ollie.

Brian's dad would like to see him matched with a Big Sister, for a female influence in his life. He would also be OK with a family match.

Join Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters today by becoming a Big Brother or Big Sister to a young person like Brian! Just a few hours a couple times a month is all it takes to change a life.

Contact Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters at 928-634-9789 or online at www.azbigs.org. Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters is a volunteer and donor supported organization proven to help the most vulnerable children in our communities succeed through one-to-one relationships.

The organization currently serves 17 communities and over 60 school sites within Yavapai County and Sedona.
