Meet CeCelia a 6-year-old, only-child, who lives with her mother. The two of them moved to the area from Ohio earlier in the year. Cecelia is shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes talkative and enjoys being silly.
Was there ever someone in your life, besides a parent, who went the extra mile for you? Maybe they always showed an extra interest in what was going on in your life. Or maybe they took time out of their day to spend it with you.
That's the kind of person that so many kids in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in the Verde Valley and Sedona are waiting on!
You can be that role model to a child right here in your own community! Most of the kids in our program live with a single parent or grandparent and just need another positive influence in their life.
All it takes is a few hours a month to change a life. Join Big Brothers Big Sisters and volunteer to become a Big today!

Cecelia is shy at first, but once she warms up, she becomes talkative and enjoys being silly.
CeCelia does a lot of outdoor activities with her mom, like horseback riding and hiking.
What she really likes most is doing arts and crafts, painting, cooking and baking.
Her mom hopes that whoever is matched with CeCelia can enjoy these types of activities with her.
She also loves music, animals and anything to do with water! She loves to read and be read to as well.
When she grows up she wants to be a doctor!
CeCelia's mom would like to see her daughter matched with a couple or family match.
She thinks that a couple or family match would provide great role models for her daughter.
