Max lives with his father and his older brother. His family is going through many changes. Max's father would love to see him matched with a mature Big Sister or an older couple, preferably someone who has experience with kids.
Looking back on your childhood, can you think of that one person that really believed in you? The person that was always pushing you to do your best or the person you just loved being around and learning from?
At Yavapai Big Brothers Big Sisters, we want to give you the chance to be that person to one of our 400 plus kids waiting for a Big Brother or Big Sister. The majority of the children waiting for Bigs are boys, typically needing some sort of positive male figure in their lives.
Although there are some different cases. Some boys have been living in all-male environments and are desperately in need of a positive female influence.
Max is a friendly, imaginative 8-year-old who loves animals, swimming and "video games that make you smart."
He loves playing with his friends, jumping on his trampoline and has an interest for arts and crafts. His favorite sport is soccer.
At school, Max says that reading is his favorite subject because he gets prizes for it. His favorite book is Henry and Mudge.
He typically gets A's and B's, is good at spelling and excels in gym class. Max says that sometimes he gets in trouble at school.

Max says, if he could change one thing about his life it would be "for life to be happier." He says about himself, "I am the type of kid who makes people's sad days, happy days."
When he grows up he wants to be "King of the World." Max says if he was the King he would treat people well, bring whatever they need on field trips, make no speeding be a rule and ban drugs and alcohol!
