PRESCOTT - The Yavapai County Sheriff's Office said Wednesday it is investigating allegations that an employee, Capt. David Starin, was involved in an on-duty sexual relationship.
Starin has resigned his position with the Sheriff's Office, said Dwight D'Evelyn, media and crime prevention coordinator for the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
According to the YCSO, the investigation is ongoing and the office has no additional comments.
"I can't comment on personnel issues," D'Evelyn said. "I received an e-mail yesterday saying he no longer works here."
Attempts to contact Starin were unsuccessful.
"There is nothing criminal that has been given to us to look at or handle at this time," said Jack Fields, supervising Yavapai County deputy attorney of the civil division. "We don't comment on personnel matters."
