Jerome Art Walk continues its momentum with its first Saturday celebration of art in September. Twenty-five galleries and studios will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. with art, music and refreshments. This free event has become a Verde Valley favorite with a shuttle that will transport you from the Old Jerome High School, up to the center of town with The Lincoln Gallery and Made in Jerome Pottery and The Adorn Collection across from The Legendary Haunted Hamburger. The post-holiday weekend is the perfect time to enjoy late night dinner hours at Jerome’s great restaurants or even spend the night at a lovely lodging. Share the Harvest Day in Camp Verde
The Verde Valley Farmers' Market of Camp Verde will host its fifth annual Share the Harvest Day. Each year the market collects food and donates it to a local food bank. This year the donations will benefit the Rising Hope Food Pantry in Cottonwood. The food pantry distributes food to approximately 350 families on a weekly basis.
This event will be on Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. The market is located at the ramada next to Fort Verde State Park, Camp Verde. Please bring non-perishable food items or monetary donations. The local growers at the market will be donating fresh, long lasting produce such as potatoes, apples, onions, garlic, carrots, winter squash, etc. Please contact VVFM manager Jane Davie 928-634-7077 with any questions.
Blood drive at Camp Verde High School
Camp Verde High School is hosting a "Show Your Spirit" Blood Drive on Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the gym. United Blood Services is in need of all blood types, especially with the upcoming Labor Day weekend, and there is a state-wide call for Type-O blood.

Good Spirits Cancer Support Group at Spirit of Joy
All are welcome to come and hear Claudia Converse, certified nurse practitioner, on the topic "Maintaining Optimal Health for Cancer Patients and their Caregivers" on Sunday at Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall, 330 Scenic Drive, Clarkdale.
Claudia brings a wealth of experience from many years as a nurse at Verde Valley Medical Center, and as an educator of nursing students at Yavapai College. This support group provides emotional support and information to all diagnosed patients, their caregivers, and families. Good Spirits Cancer Support Group is free, and refreshments are provided. Sedona Winefest seeking volunteers
The sixth annual Sedona Winefest is bigger and better than ever this year. The coordinators are looking for volunteers to help on Saturday and Sunday.
Last year was a great success and we could not have done it without the help of the volunteers. Each shift is three hours and there are shifts available on both Saturday and Sunday.
In appreciation of the volunteer efforts each person receives one free general admission ticket that includes six wine-tasting tickets and a beautiful etched commemorative wine glass. Free canoe rides with VRVNO
The Verde River Valley Nature Organization (VRVNO) is celebrating Verde River Day with the annual guided canoe trips on Sunday. They float from the day-use river access point (RAP) of Dead Horse Ranch State Park at two scheduled times - 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Real Men Pump It Up
Verde Valley Sanctuary will be hosting the annual Men's Walk "Real Men Pump It Up" and family music festival for domestic violence awareness month in October. This event will take place at 10:30 a.m. for the walk starting at Riverfront Park, with the music festival following at 11 a.m. at the Cottonwood Activity Park n Old Town.
At the music festival there will be activities for children, musicians and bands playing throughout the day, food and beverages for sale, and a raffle for fantastic prizes. The registration fee for the men's walk is $25 and participant must be registered by Sept. 26. There is no charge for entrance to the music festival.
OTA Annual Meeting
The annual meeting of the Old Town Association is Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Verde Valley Olive Oil Traders. Please plan on attending this meeting, as your input regarding the upcoming year is vital to the continued success of Old Town. There will be elections for Board Members. Family Movie Night at the Vineyard
Family Movie Night at the Cottonwood Vineyard is Saturday at 5 p.m. Rio 2 will be showing.
