Coconino National Forest - Red Rock Ranger District presents "Ancient Technologies" from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. event will feature demonstrations and displays of ancient tools and technologies that helped people thrive in the Southwestern environment for centuries.
Demonstrations will be at the visitor center under a covered porch at Red Rock Ranger Station, 8375 State Route 179, one mile south of the Village of Oak Creek. Free.

Free Parenting Classes in Cottonwood
Buena Vista Children's Services is offering free Love and Logic parenting classes beginning Thursday and continuing for six sessions.
This free class includes free child care for those who register early. Childcare space is limited.
The classes will be at the Verde Valley Montessori School, 215 S. Main St. in Cottonwood on (Thursdays) March 20, March 27, April 3, April 10, April 17 and April 24. Classes will meet from 6 to 8 p.m.

Immaculate Conception Spring Fashion Show
The fifth annual Spring Fashion Show of the Immaculate Conception Ladies Auxiliary is Saturday from noon to 3 p.m.
Our Lady of the Valley Auxiliary, Immaculate Conception Parish, is selling tickets for the show and luncheon for $15 per person.

V Bar V Archaeology Discovery Days
The annual V Bar V Archaeology Discovery Days are 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. each day. There will be demonstrations and hands-on practice of ancient technology including throwing atl-atls, making fire by friction, spinning and weaving cotton, making and firing pottery, learning about traditional use of plants, watch expert flint-knapping and learn about a wide array of ancient tool technology. The Town of Clarkdale is pleased to announce a ribbon cutting for the grand opening of the Clarkdale Caboose Gift Shop at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Cornville P&Z to discuss PAD zoning
Cornville Community Association's Planning & Zoning committee will meet Wednesday, March 5
at 5:30 p.m. at the Verde Fire District Station 32, 1120 Page Springs Road, regarding a potential PAD zoning change for the existing Living Waters Retreat property. On hand will be representatives from Yavapai County Development Services who will explain the PAD process, and a representative of Camp Soaring Eagle.This meeting is to provide information to interested parties in the community and is not in response to an actual zoning change request filed by Camp Soaring Eagle.
