David Bieber of San Diego will be riding a fully restored WWII Harley Davidson motorcycle across the USA to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project. He will arrive in Camp Verde on Sunday at noon. He will be escorted down Main Street by the American Legion and VFW Riders from all over the Verde Valley. The procession will start behind the Burger King and proceeding down Finnie Flat Road to Main Street and then up to the VFW where there will be burgers and hot dogs and fixings barbecue for $6 per plate (all proceeds to the WWP).

Women’s Club to name Woman of the Year
The Lake Montezuma Women’s Club will be hosting their final meeting of the season on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the Ranch House in Lake Montezuma. The year-end meeting will install new officers, name the Woman of the Year, and will distribute monies to two civic organizations as well as giving scholarship to deserving students in the community. There will also be ladies recognized for their outstanding efforts in the various committees.

Verde Valley Weavers & Spinners Guild meets
The Verde Valley Weavers & Spinners Guild will hold their Monthly meeting on Thursday at St Andrews Episcopal Church on Aroyo Pinon Road in Sedona. Coffee and refreshments will be served at 9:30 a.m. The business meeting will start at 10, and the program will begin at 11.

Spaghetti Dinner to create MVP basketball teams
Support teamwork, exercise and youth fitness, simply by eating spaghetti! Mountain View Preparatory will be hosting a Spaghetti Dinner on Friday from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Tavasci Campus in Cottonwood. Currently this great new school has no funding to support an athletic program with sports teams. Recognizing the need for sports and the benefits they can have on children, the motivated parents of MVP have created a Sports Booster Club. Their immediate goal is to raise money to support two basketball teams in the 2013-14 school year. Quarterly Meeting of Verde Valley Homeless Coalition
The next quarterly meeting of the Verde Valley Homeless Coalition is Wednesday, 1:30-3 p.m. at the Verde Valley Guidance Clinic. A representative from Arizona Department of Housing will share the results of the Point in Time Winter Count that took place in January.
After the presentation from the Arizona Department of Housing the Coalition will be asked to put their minds together to come up with some real, long and short-term solutions for the homeless population in the Verde Valley.

Yavapai College will hold five separate commencement ceremonies this spring as more than 1,230 students receive degrees or certificates during Yavapai College’s 43rd annual Commencement Ceremonies.
• Verde Valley Campus Commencement: Friday, May 10, 6 p.m. at the Pavilion on the Verde Valley Campus in Clarkdale.

Relay for Life in Cottonwood
The American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life of the Verde Valley will be at Cottonwood Middle School beginning at 6 p.m. The goal is to keep at least one team member on the track or pathway at all times throughout the evening. Kids Against Hunger packing event
The next Verde Valley Kids Against Hunger community packing event is Saturday, with session one from 8 to 9:30 a.m. and session two from 10 to 11:30 a.m. They need your help to package 50,000 meals for those in need at home and abroad. Suggested tax-deductible donation is $25 per person or $35 per family.
The event is at Verde Baptist Church in the gymnasium, 102 S. Willard St., Cottonwood.
