Building up to the 13th annual Pecan, Wine & Antiques Festival, from now until Thursday pecan growers from the region can bring 40 nuts from a single tree to Camp Verde Parks and Recreation, 395 S. Veterans can get military escort home
The American Legion Riders of Post 93 in Camp Verde would like to escort any returning military veteran to his or her home, legion post or VFW post. We are honored that they have taken up the flight to keep all of us at home safe. We would like to parade them through their hometown in the Verde Valley, showing them how proud we are of them.

Contra Dance in Cottonwood
Dance away the winter doldrums at the Cottonwood contra dance. This month they have a new band from Flagstaff, Contrapelli, with Terry Samples on fiddle, Mike Dunham on dulcimer, Laura Shearin on keyboard and accordion, and Mike Reddig on mandolin. Caller will be Deb Comly. Come alone or with friends; all ages and skill levels are welcome. If you can walk you can contra! The pre-dance lesson is a must for beginners at 6:30; the regular dance is 7-10 p.m. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing.
