CORNVILLE – Jerry Oler, DVM, recently opened the Cornville Pet Clinic at 1050 S. Page Springs Road. His wife, Kelley Oler, is office manager. Malyn Dexter is the veterinary assistant.

The practice offers wellness exams, dentistry, vaccinations, surgery, spay and neuter, radiographs, pain management and emergency services.

Dr. Oler graduated from Purdue University School of Veterinary Technology in 1978 and from the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.

“I have been working in the (Village of Oak Creek) for the past five years and decided to go out on my own,” Oler said. “Moving to Cornville allows me to reduce my overhead, which I can pass on to my clients. Especially when most people in the Verde Valley are having to watch their finances.”

The practice employs three people to start. Dr. Oler said the practice may expand in time, but for now he is trying to maintain a low overhead.

“We hope to serve the entire Verde Valley,” he said.

Dr. Oler believes his hometown approach and personalized pet care will help him provide a more cost-effective plan for the health care of his clients’ pets.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Saturday.

We have gone to Dr. Oler several times and he is great. Our dogs were well taken care of and the prices were reasonable as well. We cant say enough about the staff and the services that Cornville Pet Clinic offers. Thank you for opening such a wonderful place.
