‘Restoring Faith, Restoring Justice’ at SUUF
On Sunday, Feb. 19, please join the Rev. Paul Langston-Daly and the Sedona Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in exploring faith and justice in the U.S. According to Rev. Langston-Daly, “Our criminal justice system is based on a punitive model and is funded by conservative groups that support private prisons. Is this a workable model? Is this justice? Are there alternatives that promote restoring relationships and community care?” The service will be held at 10 a.m. at the Jewish Community of Sedona and the Verde Valley, 100 Meadowlark Drive, Sedona. The musical guest will be Jim Scott, an acoustic guitarist, singer, and composer of powerful music that furthers the ideals of ecology, justice, and peace.
SUUF serves Sedona and the Greater Verde Valley. Its mission statement reads, “Our Fellowship is a place to grow in mind and spirit. We promote a loving, just, and sustainable world through service, learning and action.” For more information, call 928-310-8171 or visit www.SedonaUU.org.
