Come join the Cottonwood Community Band as it welcomes back regular band director, Will Norris, after a short leave of absence during the fall season. He has selected upbeat music from the genre of "pop music," which is certain to keep your toes tapping. The many favorite tunes that everyone will remember and enjoy include a little jazz, movie themes and of course a march or two.
The band will play their first concert, Sunday May 1, 3 p.m, in the Cottonwood Recreation Center, 150 South 6th Street in Cottonwood. The second presentation will be on Sunday, May 8, 3 p.m., at the Multi-Use Theater, 210 Camp Lincoln Road in Camp Verde. The music will be the same for both concerts and admission is free.
The May 8th concert is on "Mother's Day," so what a nice gift for that special person in your life. The music has appeal that ranges from the young to the older set. Children are welcome.
Cottonwood Community Band is always extending an invitation to people in the area who have missed playing their instrument on a regular basis and would have the time for practice and meeting once a week for group rehearsals. For further information, contact Cottonwood Community Band.org
