Gloria Alcala plays small-town girl Millie Dillmount, who heads to New York City in 1922 to start a new life in a city filled with intrigue, jazz and a whole new set of rules for love. Shows are Saturday, April 18 and 25 at 7 p.m., Sunday April 19 and 26 at 3 p.m., and Friday April 24 at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at, in the MUHS bookstore from 7:30-3:30 p.m. every day, or by calling the box office at (928) 649-4466.

Yavapai College celebrates its fourth year planting grape vines at the Verde Valley campus in Clarkdale on Saturday, May 2, beginning at 8 a.m. The public is invited to join this day of community service and fun, as the young vines are planted in the student-run vineyard at the Southwest Wine Center.

Oak Creek Canyon creekside cleanup planned April 11

Spring break in Sedona has been a prelude to the looming summer crowds sure to visit Oak Creek this summer. To prepare, the Oak Creek Watershed Council (OCWC) will host a creek-side clean up event on Saturday, April 11, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Indian Gardens Café and Marketplace in Oak Creek Canyon.
