Mountain Biking and Nature Walks at Dead Horse
Dead Horse Ranch State Park will offer Better Mountain Biking sessions on April 6, 13, 20 and 27, and Nature Walks on March 31 and April 7, 14 and 21.
Better Mountain Biking will take place on Saturdays starting at noon. Randy Victory, a certified cycling instructor, will offer everything from basic riding techniques to trail etiquette. Although the rides are oriented towards new riders, even experienced mountain bikers (minimum age 14-16). Riders are REQUIRED to wear a helmet and complete an Acknowledge of Risk Form.
Nature Walks will take place on Sundays starting at 9 a.m. and last for 1-2 hours. The guided hikes will meander along riparian areas or stroll through the high desert trails within the park. Hikers need to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing; sturdy shoes, and a hat.

Zumba Gold class starting in Camp Verde
Camp Verde Parks & Recreation is pleased to announce a new class of Zumba Gold starting Tuesday. This class, designed for active older adults, will be held Tuesdays and Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 9:15 in the Community Center Gym. Zumba is a Latin-inspired dance fitness-party that keeps you in the groove of life. The class is taught by Rikki, a popular local Zumba instructor with many years of experience.
