COTTONWOOD – Sonya Carter has opened Fandango’s at 1037 N. Main St. in Old Town Cottonwood. She describes the store as offering a variety of metal art, leather, pottery, jewelry and rustic furniture.

“It is South and West décor, and more,” Sonya said. “I have local artists to keep the prices down.”

Sonya owned two large flea markets and a furniture store in Springfield, Mo., for eight years.

“I was a tourist myself a few years ago and loved the feel of Old Town Cottonwood,” she said.

Sonya doesn’t see the geographical area restricting her business service area.

“I plan to serve anyone who would like to drop by and contact me,” she said. “I focus on a variety of items at affordable prices to serve locals or those who would like to take home a touch of the Southwest.”

She is positive about the business prospects of the Verde Valley.

“I feel things are growing rapidly and improving every day,” she said. “I expect business will grow based on customer service.”

Hours are 10 to 5 Tuesday through Sunday.
