Networking group gets drum-blessing

Cottonwood Area Networking Lunch was honored Thursday at their bi-monthly meeting with a drum-blessing provided by Hopi Grandfather Martin. Grandfather Martin was guest of Kaih Khriste’ King and Blanche Radiance of the local non-profit The King’s Bridge. The King’s Bridge operates out of Cornville with a mission “to touch and lift human hearts with inspirational books and fine art prints.”

The group meets the first and third Thursdays at Jerona in Cottonwood as a local gathering of caring and sharing entrepreneurs. The variety of the different businesses can be seen on their website at: The group has been meeting twice monthly for almost a full year and continues to grow in support and community outreach.

An upcoming effort of the group is a Natural Health Fair, being planned for May 5 at the Quality Inn in Cottonwood. The day’s program will include a free Zumba class as well as a chair and standing-posture yoga provided free by local yoga instructors.

The group has seen collaborative efforts between members with the coming together of The King’s Bridge and Super Star Kids, providing historical and cultural books and presentations to local schools. Kaih Khriste’ King and Grandfather Martin will be presenting “Legends and History of the Hopi” to the Beaver Creek Kiwanis KKids in March.
