COTTONWOOD – Arnie and Kim Wright took over Premiere Furniture Consignment the first week of June. The business is located at 799 Cove Parkway in Cottonwood.

Also in the same location is Kim Wright Travel/CWT Vacations business office.

The furniture business handles consignment items only. In addition to furniture, the business offers a wide variety of home décor and accessories. The store has an interesting selection of artworks and antiques.

“We also do estate sales,” Kim said.

Kim explained that the store’s consignment policy is for 120 days. “They can either take it back, donate it or put it in the end-of-the-consignment sale,” she said.

The end-of-consignment sale will be the last Saturday of each month, and those items at the end of their consignment agreement will be offered at a 50 percent discount.

“Our commission split is 60 percent to consigner and 40 percent to us,” Kim said. She said that is a good deal for people with high-quality items to sell because they don’t have to advertise.

Premiere Furniture has a large box van that is used for pick up or delivery.

“We keep a list of things that people want,” Kim said.

Kim and Arnie plan to bring a variety of artists into the store once a month for a Meet the Artist event.

The scheduled artist for Sept. 15 is Alice ‘Daena’ Hickey. Alice is a watercolorist known for her use of vivid line and brilliant color.

Kim said the store receives new consignments each week, so the selection is always changing. They offer only quality items in excellent condition.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and noon to 5 on Saturday.
