Letter: Wireless microwave radiation a global concern

Editor:

Is our local government a part of this bigger picture?

I would just say that the uncontrolled "blanketing" with RF wireless microwave radiation is not limited to the USA but is a nearly global undertaking.

Regarding "profiteers" in this endeavor, a comprehensive review of what has happened is outlined in a book/thesis by Don Maisch, PhD, called "The Procrustean Approach - Setting Exposure Standards for Telecommunications Frequency Electromagnetic Radiation," where it is described that there has been a "manipulation of telecommunications standards by political, military, and industrial vested interests at the expense of public health protection."

The Procrustean approach consists of "cutting off" from consideration those scientific data and avenues of research that are considered contrary to the maintenance of the existing thermally-based exposure guidelines. The entire document can be found at http://www.emfacts.com/download/The_Procrustean_Approach.pdf.

In summary, "the creation and maintenance of the thermal paradigm in RF standard setting for the past half century has not been one of a straight forward case of advancing scientific knowledge, but one of convenience in order to facilitate the unfettered development of technology free of regulatory restraints."

They must have turned it down a notch. Now the birds just get disorientated and fly around and around the tower until they die of exhaustion.

Same for us. a slow degradation of health that can not be specifically traced and then we have to pay for our illness on top of that.

what happens when they are complete and the entire population of the valley does ~not~ grow a second head a 3rd arm get cancer or suffer from lack of sleep?

Or even a small part of the valley population?

Was all the hype and fear mongering for naught?

Will there be youtube videos of the meters being "tested" to prove that they are as bad as they were made out to be?

And if not who shall we send the bill to for all the stress and anguish over the installation of these meters and the hype involved?

Just so you know.Microwaves were tested by the military first and the power from station to station did knock birds out of the air.

Someone wrote: "Climate Science... is exactly the same as Medical Science you rush to when you are sick," and I wondered: Are Climate Science waiting rooms less crowded?

who can deny and ignore something simultaneously?

And how much microwave radiation has the writer been exposed to?

My goodness. Personal attacks. I guess this is what the pseudo-scientific have to resort to in the absence of an actual argument.

My Alcoa stock just went up again.

Hey, PC Science skeptic, skeptic. You too choose to be anonymous, so
does that qualify your version of climate science to be correct? So
do you agree or disagree with the "PC Sceptic" on RF Radiation effects?
Isn't that the topic here? You sure jumped on your own float immediately and exposed your "proud ignorance" with the right wing name calling.Comparing climate science to medical science? What does
that mean? The FDA doles out approval of science only tested by those that want their (whatever)approved? Good point! Of course the mental health science deserves a big award too for the wonderful results they and the FDA have achieved so far. Like we need more of these miracle psychotropic prescription drugs that are working so well. The same ones that every mass shooter in the headlines we have seen were using under a Mental Health Professional's care. So I hope you and your Lefty friends feel good about yourselves when making statements like in your post. "That you deny and ignore it (climate and medical
science) establishes your mental and intellectual levels waaayyy down
there with the other right-wing ignoranti". To me, the followers, as in the whackos on both sides seem to never lack the acquired trait of Self Righteous Indignation. {Indignation,
anger or scorn aroused by something FELT to be unfair, unworthy, or wrong}

That is why I choose to be an Independent and not a Codependent. Sincerely, Randy Hunt,
The original letter here about "Wireless microwave radiation a global concern" was my post. Sure got sidetract or bushwacked? Whatever, some people just like to have fun to make themselves feel better here. That's OK Too, Mr. or Ms. Anonymous.

In your proud ignorance (at least you are anonymous, so your friends can't laugh and point at you if they heard you say something that stupid) you should know the Climate Science you scoff at is exactly the same as Medical Science you rush to when you are sick (Maybe the Mental Health Sciences can help you?).

That you deny and ignore it establishes your mental and intellectual levels waaayyy down there with the other right-wing ignoranti.

Rumor Rose, Research and you won't find any scientific studies done on the ill health effects of RF radiation that are based on rumors. It sounds like your opinion is based on rumors, as long as your belief works for you then why are you bothered by the facts that you choose to ignore? Those of us that search for the truth have a common concern, a healthy life and safe environment for ourselves and others. Why does that seem to bother you?

Did all you people also get rid of your satellite TV too? At least get educated before you start spreading rumors. Most sound like a bunch of paranoid people who need to be on medication. Sad

Mr Goat Herder, You would make a better sheep herder, as in sheeple. Keep up the good word? FTA, Federal Telecommunications Act, read the whole thing, it's not carte blanche for them, (Government, Politics & Diplomacy) complete discretion or authority: the government gave their negotiator carte blanche. unconditional authority full discretionary power.
[164555 < French: literally, blank document] Maybe the city attorney needs to read it again before advising the city council on which way to vote on this cell tower issue, Like maybe keeping the 60' restriction, also the TCA allows for adequate coverage, not complete coverage in the wording, also some follow up restrictions with modern up to date 3rd party monitoring of the new 60' or 90' cell tower RF radiation emissions? . . . not to have a smart phone, wifi, a microwave.

. . . not to live near a cellphone tower, powerlines or transformers.

. . . not to have a smart meter.

Because I am not a mindless, obedient consumer. I don't do as I am told . . . I question, I research, I think for myself and I come to my own conclusions.

I think everyone else also has that same right.

Lame Comment, The Goatherder.

Next time, please try to do better with a more detailed show of intelligence.

My phone is always on airplane mode so it is not seeking a tower when I am driving or with a car full of people. You can have a cell phone and not let it give you brain cancer if you know how to use it properly.

Plus, the cellphone is selective use. You can turn it off or not have one.The towers pulse the radiation nonstop so you have no choice if you live near one, or drink near one, or play bingo near one or go to school near one.
