Letter: No respect for basic property rights

Editor:

Today we noticed that our small Obama/Biden sign was stolen from the front yard. We live on a graveled country lane in the green belt, in our opinion one of the best places to live in the Verde Valley but ... Arizona hasn’t even finished counting the votes and this lack of respect for diverse points of view is unfortunately characteristic of the Tea Party Republican mind-set.

This is our home and as far as I know, we’re still part of the United States. Whoever this thief was, obviously doesn’t understand this.

Kinda reminds of the election of 96 when Bill Clinton was reelected. I put an Oliver North for President sticker on the bumper of my truck in response to Clinton's reelection and someone who took offense to that ripped it off the bumper and plastered it on my side window. I served over 30 years in the Navy and the US Border Patrol defending peoples rights to do as they please, but some liberal democrat took offense to my exercising my right to free speech. Looks like the republicans and tea party folks aren't the only ones who are intolerant.

Actually, my Republican sign was also stolen from my front yard. Or maybe that was the hired help picking up my trash. Either way, my sign is missing, woe to me to miss it now that it is gone!

Hey look! Ebay has one for only $34.93. And it looks just like mine!

It's a good thing a Republican sign was not stolen. They would have been put in jail in Camp Verde immediately. The Republicans are sore losers and they show it often. I hope they learned nothing from this election which seems to be the case. That means they will keep loosing elections.

The first three comments!
When I read the letter the part that said we're still part of the United States I couldn't help but think of all the liberals moving in who want to make Arizona into the liberal nanny state they came from. Maybe the secession movement isn't so far off the mark. It might turn out to be the only way we can keep Arizona a freedom loving state that a slipping majority of freedom loving Arizonian people have always cherished

I doubt it was a covert operation. ALL political signs should be gone now anyway. The election is over. Why the heck haven't you taken your sign down and put it in your garage when you can enjoy it forever?

What liberties?

The Patriot Act and Homeland Security have already taken away our "liberties."

Our police have humvees and the county has a drone.

And YOU get to pay for this priviledge of being an 'indentured servant.'

The Tea Party did not steal your sign...........
I've noticed over the last two days city workers picking up political signs, garage sale signs, and lost pet signs. I doubt they picked up your trash thats still out after 3 weeks though, probably a disgruntled neighbor tired of your gloating seriously, how long after an election should political signs stay up?
I say this because it appears this is not about a sign, it looks more like the continuation of the blame game that surrounds the worship of Obama.
The tea party stole your sign? In a stealth operation no doubt - fatigues & camo paint? Yeah, those tea party elderly folks are big on camo paint.

I could only venture a suggestive guess, but may be someone wanted to paste bulls eye targets on it, on Forest Service Property! All of these signs from both parties make great target holders but only if the perps pick them up and return them to the garbage when done! Do not leave garbage in the forests or deserts of this incredibably pretty state!!!

I wonder if you will cry so loudly when you start seeing your liberties disappear because of your support for Marxism.
