Letters: It was well worth it, in fact a blessing, to serve
Editor:

The questions kept pressing on my chilled brain the morning of Nov. 25th. It was 7:30am and 22 degrees outside as I stood at Bashas' door #1 on Turkey Tuesday. My husband was at door #2, he had helped set up the signs, tables and chairs and then settled in for the long day ahead. By 8:00am, no donations, still cold and wondering what the heck am I doing here?

Nearly 30 years ago during a meeting of the Camp Verde Fire Board, two members of the board took a dispute out into the parking lot.

They had a fist fight.

Today, they don't roll up their sleeves, but political in-fighting is still the norm in Camp Verde.
