Commentary: Calling All Millennials, it's your turn: Vote!

Commentary: 9/11 -- Hope in vulnerability
Fifteen years ago today, I was living in Phoenix and I had just shown up to LA Fitness for my daily workout. Most people don't talk much when they work out in a big city gym.  They all have their headphones in and are transfixed by the television monitors in front of them.

Commentary -- Sept. 11, 2001: Distinguishing fact from fiction
Today, the world will gather once again to commemorate the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Commentary: Old-school, pragmatic politics of Millennials
There was a time, in the late 1980s and early 1990s, when everything about the baby boomers -- their cultural identity, their sex lives, their voting patterns -- was chewed over in the public prints and on television.

Commentary: New rules, or no rules at all, govern modern-day politics
A full century ago, the 28th president -- a professor as much as a politician -- counseled the man who would become the 32nd chief executive that there was a predictable tide in the nation's politics. Woodrow Wilson shaped the perspective of the young Franklin Delano Roosevelt indelibly when he told him the country was willing to be liberal for only about a third of the time and then it always returns to its conservative moorings.

Commentary: Improving college dynamic in Verde Valley a two-way street
In November 2015, the Yavapai College Governing Board made a pledge to work more closely with its Verde Valley Board Advisory Committee. Minutes from that meeting show Board Chair Patricia McCarver stating "that going forward, the Board has a responsibility and opportunity to provide direction for the VVBAC."

Commentary: Free speech and loathing on the campaign trail
Donald Trump is afraid of the U.S. Constitution. That's the only conclusion that can be drawn from his reaction to the silent protesters who were ejected from his campaign rally for displaying pocket Constitutions in Portland, Maine, this week.
