Cottonwood Area Transit System

Known as CATS, provides public transportation for the City of Cottonwood, the Town of Clarkdale, Verde Village, Bridgeport and the Yavapai-Apache Nation.

Cottonwood Area Transit now has three fixed bus  routes serving Cottonwood, Clarkdale and Verde Village. All routes connect on the hour at Garrison Park where riders can transfer from one bus route to another without waiting.

Route 1 (Blue Route) serves Central Cottonwood. Route 2 (Green Route) connects Cottonwood to Verde Village. Route 3 (Red Route) connects Cottonwood to Clarkdale.

All buses operate from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and serve signed bus stops along the routes

The one-way fare is $1. And all-day pass is $2.00. A 20-trip pass sells for $20.

The transit operation also provides on-demand service called Dial-a-Ride for riders at a distance from a signed bus stop and also CAT paratransit for riders with disabilities. These service are available by reservation only Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reservations should be made at least one day in advance by calling 634-2287.

The cost of Dial-A-Ride’s curb-to-curb service is $5.00 one-way

On demand passengers should be ready 15 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. Drivers are only required to wait for two minutes. Notify CAT of any cancellations at least one hour in advance. A half-fare penalty will be imposed for those who fail to provide a one-hour notice of cancellation payable before service is resumed.

All CATS buses are wheelchair accessible and climate-controlled.

Fares and tickets can be purchased from the driver or through the CAT office at 340 Happy Jack

Way.

CAT does not operate on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day.

Sedona RoadRunner Circulator Route

The City of Sedona operates the Sedona RoadRunner Circulator Route servicing a 1.3 mile corridor that includes Sedona’s highest density of commercial activity and traffic.

The free Circulator shuttle makes several stops between Uptown Sedona and the Hillside Galleries and Poco Diablo resort on SR 179 during a regular 15-minutes loop circuit.

Roadrunner paratransit offers curb-to-curb service in vans for the disabled unable to use the Circulator shuttle.

The RoadRunner Circulator runs every 15-20 minutes from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., seven days each week. For information about times and pickup locations, call 282-0938 or visit www.roadrunner.az.gov.



Verde Lynx Public Transportation

Connects CAT transit service in the Verde Valley with the Roadrunner service in Sedona. Verde Lynx provides 8 trips a day between Cottonwood and Sedona with stops in Uptown and West Sedona.

Free Park & Ride facilities are provided at Garrison Park in Cottonwood and the Sedona Municipal Lot in Sedona.

Verde Lynx fare between Cottonwood and Sedona is $2. The fare between Uptown and West Sedona is $1.

Riders can use Verde Lynx’s sister services in Cottonwood and Sedona to connect to Verde Lynx. Information about the connector services may be found at http://www.verdelynx.az.gov.
