A "No" Bully Car Experience
The Oxendale Family: Matt, Lindsay and their three boys Connor, Micah and Ethan
The Oxendale Family: Matt, Lindsay and their three boys Connor, Micah and Ethan

Matt Oxendale isn't your ordinary car dealer. He believes that the car business is about people; about helping people find solutions to the problems that keep them from driving a car they love.

Matt loves his job. The car business is in his blood. Matt grew up working in different departments in the dealership.

His great grandfather, Roy A. Oxendale started his Chevrolet dealership in Minnesota back in the 30s and 40s. Then his father and grandfather, Tom and Roy Oxendale, opened their current dealership in Cottonwood, AZ.

After graduating Summa Cum Laude from Arizona State with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Matt quickly returned to build the family business at Oxendale Chrysler Dodge Jeep.

Today, Oxendale Auto Group has grown to four stores in Northern Arizona! Matt and Mike are now very proud to own and operate the current Oxendale family of dealerships. It's a family business they are proud to continue and one that they believe helps us to serve our community.

In 2008, Matt's entire life changed. The dealership was struggling, amidst the turmoil of the Great Recession, and at about the same time, he and his wife Lindsay learned they were pregnant with triplets! After months of being bed-ridden in the hospital, Lindsay gave birth to their 3 premature boys-born under 2 lbs. each and not given much chance to live. Struggling for survival at home and at work, Matt's days were filled with long hours at both the hospital and office. They beat the odds! After multiple surgeries, their beautiful boys came home!

Unfortunately, the struggle at work continued. Then in mid-2009, Matt made a decision to break away from the daily grind-to change the atmosphere at the dealership and stop the struggle.

Matt knew he needed to recreate his business and life so that he could be there for both his family and community. He knew that changing the way he did business would help bring the dealership back to life.

That's how he became a Dealer For The People. Today, business is booming at Oxendale Chrysler Dodge Jeep. He has done away with the stereotypical tension between dealer and customer. He runs his dealership in a way that makes the relationship between dealer and customer a good one.

"It's amazing what you can accomplish when you put your mind to helping others," says Matt. "When you go the extra mile and dedicate yourself to finding solutions for people, they appreciate it and they remember you," he adds.

Oxendale is a "Fear-Free" Zone. There's no need to be stressed out or worried about getting a good deal or about the car buying process. In fact Matt works hard to make buying a car fun. To take all the stress and hassle out of negotiating a car deal, Matt created the "No Bully Buying Process." The customer doesn't have to negotiate the best price for the car; instead Oxendale will give a customer a proposal with all the details. They can look at the proposal and decide whether or not it makes sense for them. If not, they make a recommendation and Matt will tweak the proposal based on the feedback.

"I'm on a mission to put the fun back into buying a car and bring respect and responsibility back to the car business. I'm fighting for you," states Matt.

Oxendale Chrysler Dodge Jeep believes everybody deserves to drive a nicer, newer car. And they are dedicated to solving problems first and making money second.

Matt is a firm believer that if you treat people with courtesy and educate them with the most complete information available, they'll be empowered, they'll be more informed and they'll become your customers for life.

"Bottom line, you deserve to be treated with respect and honesty when buying a car.  And that's what I'm promising. I'm not in business to sell cars to make a quick buck. I'm in business to sell cars and find great people who will stay with me for life," states Matt.

"I want to build a relationship with you...

a relationship that adds value to your life... one built on trust and mutual respect... a relationship that will end your search for an honest car dealer and finally give you a dealership you feel comfortable doing business with for life."
