There's always something exciting going on at Cottonwood Village. Just ask Leanne Gregory, the activities director. You'll find everything from painting the mural, sing-a-long socials and attending the theater productions at Mingus High School to a variety of educational and health classes. Local doctors come in for informative fireside talks about keeping healthy, as well as other health topics.
The artistic talent behind the mural painting at Cottonwood Village is the collaborative effort of LeAnne Gregory, Marguerite Emerson, Peter F. and former resident Elena G. Marguerite (pictured) refers to herself as a "happy camper", who is also a member of the bell choir, who lovingly call themselves the "Ding a Lings". The bell choir members consist of two men and nine women who practice once a week and perform at holiday events, including St. Patrick's Day, Easter and Christmas.
Cottonwood Village features lovely studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments with amenities and services. There's everything from a computer room, billiards and a lounge area with big-screen TV, to a grand piano and dance floor for the musically inclined. Outdoors, you'll find lovely gardens, patios and more with inspiring views of the mountains. Other fun activities for residents include monthly birthday celebrations, trips to the casino, group exercise, Friday night movies with popcorn, a creative writing class and so many more things you can enjoy with your friends.
There's something for everyone in this delightful community. The choice is yours. Whether you participate in classes, enjoy live music, catching up with family or enjoy the latest novel...it's the art of celebrating life, your way.
