"The worth of a community in the long run, is the worth of the individuals composing it."

-- John Stuart Mill

Here is your chance to join a group of dedicated VOCA members to ensure that we continue the direction of making our association the very best it can be for the future.

There are two three-year terms of office for 2014. This will create two openings for the Board of Directors.

The requirements to be a board member are quite clear:

• Any active member of the Association (VOCA) may be a Director.

• A Director must be a resident of the State of Arizona.

All VOCA members are urged to start talking to your friends and neighbors about serving on the Board of Directors.  These are important positions, as the Board of Directors truly determines the direction VOCA moves in the future, as well as dealing with all current issues and challenges.

Anyone with any experience, or interest, in leadership is asked to consider nominating them self.

Many VOCA members have had leadership experience in many different organizations or businesses, both here and abroad.

The knowledge and experience gained in those activities would certainly be a benefit to help VOCA become an even better community than we already are.

If you are interested, please request an application at the VOCA Administration Office, 690 Bell Rock Blvd and return application, photo and bio by Friday, Feb. 14, 2014.

For an application, please contact: Nancy Shelley, Member/Board Relations Coordinator, 284-1820 or email address:
