Obituary: Chad Tucker
Chad Tucker
Chad Tucker

Chad Tucker left this world tragically at the age of 20. He was born in Glendale and raised by the most incredible single mother any of us could ever know.

He graduated from Rimrock Public High School in 2011, the Valedictorian of his class.

A second degree black belt and former Instructor at KC's Family Tae Kwon Do, he is revered by and has inspired many children and adults in the community. Chad was an incredible musician, specializing in guitar, but could also sing, play keyboards, bass and drums.

He was a scholar of the world and martial arts, music, literature, and art were his passions.

Most recently, Chad was learning the welding trade and was proud to be an apprentice of Dale Dees at Blue Line Grizzlies.

He is survived by his parents, Kathy and Joe Babcock, his brothers Blake and Andrew, his Grandparents Corkey and Elaine Hill, his Uncle Corkey and Aunt Christine, his God Daughters Rachel and Cheyenne who adored him, his extended family including Uncle Darren, cousin Mason, cousin Alex, the Day Family, and of course, many, many close friends and his martial arts family.

Chad's energetic spirit made him a friend to everyone he met and his heart guided him to help anyone who needed it, traits that make us all better for having known such an incredible soul. He will be missed.

A memorial service for Chad will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014 at 1 p.m., at Verde Valley Christian Church, 406 S 6th St, in Cottonwood.

An online guestbook is available to sign at www.westcottfuneralhome.com

I don't know any of you, but I have lost a son (he was 18) and my heart just aches for the family...
Because of LOVE and loss, you're FOREVER CHANGED. Hold him close in your heart (as I know that you will) and look for little signs. They never really leave us in spirit.
Blessings and peace to you.

My husband and I have the pleasure of being friends and neighbors of Elaine and Corky Hill here in Cornville. You cannot find better people anywhere on this planet. Our hearts are so saddened by their loss. We love you Corky and Elaine!

What a loss. To his mother and brother, my prayers and wonderful thoughts. I took my children to Tae Kwon Do and soon found myself at the age of 35 bowing onto the floor. One of the bright and shinning faces encouraging me was Chad when he was about ten. I didn't make it to my black belt but I made sure I attended his black belt graduation. A few years later I found myself teaching at Rimrock High School and once again there was that bright and shining face in my classroom. He continued to be a smart, imaginative, honorable, and friendly young man. You knew when you met him that he was a person worth knowing. It was and is a pleasure to part of Chads, his mothers, and his brothers life. I will miss him and honor him forever.
