Brian Midkiff, 39, of Cottonwood died April 15, 2012. He was born March 29, 1973 in Phoenix, the son of James and Arlene Midkiff.
He was a graduate of Mingus Union High School. He served his country in the Army.
Brian was self employed. His hobbies included running and weightlifting. He was a member of the Cottonwood Christian Assembly.
Brian was a wonderful husband, dad, son and friend. His love, his laugh, his kindness will continue to live through all the people he touched. “I love you Brian, you are my heart”.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother Becky VanDine.
He leaves his wife of 17 years, Courtney; sons Spencer and Wyatt; daughter Carrington; brother Jimmy; sister Melissa and his parents Jim and Arlene Midkiff.
A memorial service will be held Friday, April 20 at the Cottonwood Christian Assembly at 11 AM.

a wonderful soul!! a big loss in cottonwood !! I only knew him over the years through my work as a car salesman but also as a meatcutter in the community always was filled with great life !! my prayers go out towards his family

I have done business with Brian for a long time. He was one of the greatest guys I've had the privilage of working with and as a friend. He fought a tough battle that few would do.His word was as good as a hand shake, an honest guy. We will miss him. Our prayers for the family.

We knew Brian as a customer and a friend and we bought a great hot tub from him an his dad. Brian was always so positive and good hearted.God bless the family and know that many of us are praying for them in this sad time.

I work in new construction at APS and had the pleasure of working with Brian and Courtney for quite some time before the downturn. I only heard of Brian's illness several months ago. I can't tell you how much hearing of his passing saddens me. My heart and prayers go out to the entire family.
