Clifford H. Bingaman 1921 - 2012
Clifford H Bingaman
Clifford H Bingaman

Clifford H Bingaman passed away at his home on January 28, 2012. Born to Harry and Idella Bingaman in Batesville, Arkansas on November 25, 1921, he is the last surviving sibling of their 12 children.

As a veteran of World War II, he served in the United States Army from 1941–1945 in the South Pacific. Cliff spent most of his life as a carpenter and builder of custom homes.

He was a licensed contractor in the Verde Valley for over 25 years. He was a member of the Camp Verde United Methodist Church and the VFW. He greatly treasured his membership in the Flagstaff Masonic Lodge where he was a Past Master. Recently he was presented with his 60th year membership pin.

Cliff lived a full life surrounded by the love of his family and friends. His outgoing personality and sense of humor garnered him many good friends during his lifetime.

He was a man of strong convictions and his life’s highest priority was always his family. His guiding light of honesty, integrity and strength of character will not be forgotten by those who knew him.

He was a devoted husband, wonderful father and doting grandfather (known as Papa or Pops) to his well loved grandkids.

He is survived by Pearl, his wife of over 65 years, daughter Dixie Blanchard (Alan) of Camp Verde, son Mark Bingaman (Diane) of Olympia, Washington, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.

Services honoring his life will be held on Saturday February 4 at the United Methodist Church in Camp Verde at 1:30 p.m.

Internment at Middle Verde Cemetery will follow. No formal visitation is planned. Bueler’s Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Cliff’s favorite charity: Shriner’s Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Donations can be made on line at www.shrinershospitals.org or mailed to Flagstaff Masonic Lodge #7, PO Box 73, Flagstaff, AZ 86002.

The family also thanks Northern Arizona Hospice for their care and support.
