GOODELL'S QUANDRY
Whether or not one believes NFL commissioner Roger Goodell's story that he didn't know the full truth about Ray Rice's assault on his fiance, the defense Goodell presented to several of the league's owners doesn't improve his position

SEMANTICS
It is sometimes said that it takes two to make an argument. Is the same true for war? In 1915 it took the sinking of the Lusitania, with 128 American lives. In 1941 it took the bombing of Pearl Harbor. In 2000 it took an attack on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.
