Drake Canvas Back on his take off run
By Ted Grussing
On the run... I went down to the ponds after church this morning and got this shot of a drake Canvas Back on his take off run ... I especially am pleased that I got the primary feathers on his right wing tip hitting the water throwing a blast of water into the air as he propelled himself down the watery runway ... appropriate we call it a runway :+)
I have been working on solutions to my email issues all weekend and in the process lost about 60 emails I wanted to send replies to. Sorry, but if you have expected a reply and not received it, please resend me your email and I'll reply to it then. Think I may just end up with doing email via online webmail for the hosted domains ... or an exchange server as I am not happy with my present way of doing things. Back to Pop3 for a while, IMAP caused more issues than it solved ... oh well...
Three days without broadcast/satellite/cable television and loving it. Boosted my internet download speed to 50mbs as a treat for getting rid of all television programming :+) With any kind of luck I'll have all the components for the new computer by mid-week and have it operational by the end of the week. Then this computer will be running my online viewing and entertainment using the television as a monitor. New speaker system on the way too so that there will be an audiophile experience whilst enjoying good music in the living room. Time for a few treats in the new year ... One is in firm control of the Wacom tablet and is finding it to be a comfortable uncluttered place to rest ... the right portion of the keyboard is a useful place to rest her head and watch all manner of stuff fly across the monitors as she rolls over the keys.
Lots of fun with friends, flying and shooting (camera) as well as getting back to doing yard work. Life is good ...
Blessings and a few smiles
...I yield myself to the thousand enchantments of sky and field and wood,
and play again like a child on the soft green of the earth.
And as the God of the universe has made thee to bloom in tenderness,
