A fresh canvas
By Ted Grussing
A fresh canvas... on which to paint clouds with exquisite detail ... photo is as shot ... a beautiful day and wonderful for those of us who gaze at and dream on clouds ... like life, ever changing, ever beautiful and so very transitory.
A very quiet day for us today with friends and hospice people over; mostly holding Corky's hand and One spent hours cuddling up with Cork. The whole concept of hospice is based on providing quality end of life care and they have done a magnificent job for us. Hospice is not for those who are going to get well and we have had an incredible ride the past five months ... actually 54+ years, but the past five or so months with hospice in our life ... and we have been on the go every day.
Wednesday Cork and I had a beautiful day and got out for about a two mile walk which she thoroughly enjoyed; by last night she had lost a lot of ground and today I have been trying to cope with the fact that the daily fun we have been enjoying has come to an end. Corky is resting comfortably and time for One and me to head back in there and be with her. The thing about love is that it is forever and we will always have that. Corky and I have had an incredible ride and a life filled with joy, humor and love and for now we still have it.
Have a wonderful day today; enjoy the beauty that surrounds you and fills you with joy ... smile a lot too and you will make the day of those you meet. A tiny little planet ... beauty beyond belief ... permeated with love.
Back Monday morning.

is patient where the way is hard, has faith when he does not understand, and carries
into the dark places the light of a cheerful heart.
