The forest encroaches and spirits fly through the night

 By Ted Grussing

I remember when I was a kid and at summer camp in northern Minnesota ... the campfires at night and the walks into what we were told were enchanted and haunted forests. Instructions were given as to how to deal with the otherworldly creatures that inhabited the dark woods ... flashlights were turned off ... creatures like this appeared and disappeared and I can never enter the woods without looking for the creatures of the night as I may see them in the day. We did not send our kids to camps like that. Maybe we should have :+)

A quiet day around here mostly working and hoping that the heat would stay out and coolness remain within our walls.

One is currently ripping through the house chasing after apparitions or perhaps from them ... the forest encroaches and spirits fly through the night. Soon old Sol will again rise and the order of day will return ... at a consumption rate of about 600 million tons of hydrogen per second (fusing into helium) I worry about Sol ... but then it has been doing this for about four and a half billion years and will do so for more billions of years. Good thing it has 99.6% of the total mass in our little solar system. Without taxing us it provides us with all we need for life.

Into dream world and hoping to avoid this guy ... have a joyous day and share a smile with someone you meet today

Cheers

Ted
