The family and friends of Don and Elaine Hansen would like to congratulate the couple on 50 years of marriage. Both Don and Elaine graduated from the Cottonwood High School. Don in l956 and Elaine in l958. They were married in the Clarkdale Methodist Church on July 26, 1959. Since that time, they have lived in the Verde Valley. Don was employed at Adam's General Mercantile and then Arizona Public Service for 36 1/2 years until retirement 1996. Elaine worked at the local hospital as a medical assistant and then for Dr. J.D. Stump's office until retirement. They enjoy a busy life with family, friends, and working in their church, Mountain View United Methodist and camping in their 5th wheel with their camping group the Kamp-O-Larks. They also enjoy hobbies, Donnie does hiking, hunting, gardening and meat cutting. Elaine enjoys sewing, painting, scrap booking, and greeting card making. Their son Tim, wife Mary and grandson Ryan live in Flagstaff. Daughter Valerie, and husband Jim Myers live in Cottonwood as do their son James, his partner Veronica and grand daughters Aaliyah and Jordyn and their daughter Donna, with her partner Keenan.
