COTTONWOOD -- Cottonwood Area Transit Manager Bruce Morrow has received National Certified Community Transit Manager certification.
The certifying agency, Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA), is a national, professional membership association of organizations and individuals committed to improving mobility for all people.
CTAA conducts research, provides technical assistance, offers educational programs, and serves as an advocate in order to make coordinated community transportation services available, affordable, and accessible. This organization offers leadership, support, information, and technical assistance to a network of more than 5,000 community transportation agencies that transport 15 million Americans each year. They also have representation in both the legislative and regulatory arenas. The association actively shares its views with members of Congress and Federal officials on a variety of issues affecting the interests of users and providers of community transit services. It fights for adequate funding and sensible government regulation. CTAA is one of community transit's voice in Washington.
Morrow began with the City of Cottonwood in early 2012 and has been an integral part of the smooth transition as Cottonwood now manages the CAT and LYNX transportation services.
