Reneďż˝ Moser and Rick Hernandez were married on Halloween at Sapook Hall.
Spook Hall in Jerome was the perfect location for two Halloween loving locals to tie the knot. Bride April Reneé Moser, daughter of Tim and Sarah Moser of Clarkdale, wed Ricardo (Rick) Manuel Hernandez II, son of Ricardo (Rick) and Karen Hernandez of Cottonwood at sunset, All Hallows Eve, 2013.
Both April and Rick are employed in Jerome at Patsy's Parlor, Mystic Mountain Treasures as well as Jerome's Jewelry and Gifts, owned and operated by Rick and Karen Hernandez. Rick is an award-winning silversmith with a showcase of his art located at Jerome's Jewelry and Gifts. April's keen eye and artistic style have been an inspiration in some of Rick's jewelry. Rick is also a volunteer firefighter/EMT with the Jerome Fire Department.
April and Rick met through their love of martial arts, where they both trained and received Black Belts in Tae Kwon Do. April received her 1st Dan under the instruction of Mrs. Karen Conover at KC's Family Tae Kwon Do & Tumbling of Camp Verde and Cottonwood, where April is a former instructor. Rick received his 1st and 2nd Dan under the instruction of Mr. Caleb Labarda at Tae Kwon Do Unlimited in Cottonwood.
A host of family, friends, business associates and many from the bride and groom's martial arts life attended in costume to wish the couple a long and joyous life together. Both the wedding and reception were held at Spook (Lawrence Memorial) Hall in Jerome. The Bridal Party consisted of: Maid of Honor: Jaycee Silvia. Bridesmaids: Samantha Rivenburg, Chelsey Tucker and Amanda Grant. Best Man, Alex Stratz. Groomsmen: Sean Scott, Jacob Chavez and Jim Helmeczi. Flower Girl: Hailey Willoughby and Ring Bearer: Asencion (Chon) Diaz. The brides father, Tim Moser, officiated.
