Police cruiser involved in accident

A Cottonwood Police cruiser was hit by a second car as the officer was responding to an emergency just before 1 p.m. The officer was using his lights and sirens when struck broadside in a T-bone style accident. The officer and a passenger were not hurt in the crash, but the woman driving the second car was transported to Verde Valley Medical Center. Both vehicles suffered moderate damage. VVN/Jon Pelletier

One pulled me over for not having a turn signal on. As he was talking to me, his car hit me from behind . . . he did not put it in park.

Guess who didn't get a ticket and who SHOULD have?

Cottonwood cops think they are invisible, lie, and think they can do anything they want. They are rude, obnoxious, and a disgrace to law enforcement!!!

I saw the accident that we are talking about! They made two loud beeps of their siren to get around some traffic, then drove right into the intersection. They turned their lights on after the wreck! I watched it! The cop on the passenger side had to climb out of his window!

Had to be the cop's fault. They can't run and they are undertrained. Blame the law officer. Always!

I am not a fan of cottonwood pd but the police car was clearing Code 3. That's lights and sirens. Not sure what accident you saw!

A few days earlier another Cottonwood police car was doing a U-turn without lights or sirens and was struck broadside by a PT Cruiser driven by someone I know. Two virtually identical accidents! Time for officer re-training.

Was the woman driver talking on a cell phone?
