EF Productions presents Celebration of Christmas 2012

Remember when Christmas was a season of pure enchantment, toy land fantasies and winter wonderlands? Remember when it was a time of hope, of new beginnings? A time of angels announcing glad tidings of great joy to shepherds in a field and wise men following a star to bring gifts to heaven's Child? Well, we remember, too! But it's not just a memory anymore.

The tradition continues! EF Productions presents the 18th annual Celebration of Christmas. This spectacular theatrical Broadway style Christmas production is a heartwarming story where a little angel named Lucy is sent to earth to help show Eliza, a lonely and hopeless street lady, along with her friends, the true meaning of Christmas. Set in old England, it is a cross between Dickens's A Christmas Carol and It's A Wonderful Life.

Celebration of Christmas has a cast of over 100 people and crew of over 50 people, a live orchestra, exciting original and traditional music, beautiful costumes, a winter wonderland with snow, life sized toy parade, exotic animals including camels, spectacular lighting, and special effects. This year's show is one you are sure to never forget. Audiences of all ages will enjoy Northern Arizona's largest and most spectacular live theatrical Christmas production.

Celebration of Christmas runs Friday, Nov. 30, through Monday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. nightly, with an additional matinee performance on Saturday, Dec. 1 at 1 p.m.

There are three levels of seating for all five performances: Gold Circle, Silver Circle, and FREE.

Gold Circle are special reserved assigned seats for $25, orchestra center section and eliminates the need to wait in line prior to the doors opening. Children 3 and younger are free when they sit on a lap of a paying adult.

Silver Circle are special reserved section; non-assigned seats for $15 (ages 4+). Children 3 and under are free when they sit on a lap of a paying adult.

Free Advanced Seating Tickets for all five shows will be released to the public on Sunday, Oct. 21, at noon. Tickets are limited and will be available on a first-come first-served basis. We are not able to hold or ship free tickets.

Doors will open 1 hour before each performance for all Advanced Seating Ticket holders. However, no ticket is required for General admission for the free seats. The doors for general admission will open 30 minutes before each performance to fill up any available free seating that is left. Based upon previous shows, it is advised that general admission patrons be in line no later than 1 hour before show time in order to obtain seats.

Tickets go on sale Sunday, Oct. 21, for Gold Circle and Silver Circle seats and eliminate the need to wait in long lines prior to the doors opening. Tickets can purchased through the box office, over the phone (888)-71-TICKETS, or on the web at www.efproductions.org. Cash, check, and major credit cards are accepted. There is a $3 per ticket service fee charged by the ticketing agency on all orders regardless of method of payment. Get this special "Early Show" pricing on your tickets as pricing will increase by $5 beginning Nov. 23.

The doors will open 1 hour before each performance. Any remaining tickets will be sold at the door at each show. Everyone is asked to bring a canned food donation to give at the door to benefit Hearts For The Hungry & Homeless.

Come experience this musical journey, as a little angel guides your heart back to the true meaning of Christmas. Let the fantasy and spirit of the season delight you and your family with live animals, fantasy parades, toys that come to life and a pilgrimage to Bethlehem to meet the true Reason for the Season.

For more than 25 passionate years, I have been studying a major area of non traditional psychology, which traditionally educated people in our sociological and psychological institutions don't study at all. And I can tell people in a whole lot of detail, that its the ILLUSION, that... When the care and keeping of bodies is not the issue... The ILLUSION IS... that there is such a thing as "better conditions and better events, as well as worse conditions and worse events... and that they're causing better and worse feelings, better and worse experiences and thus, better and worse lives! That's all a game of pretenses, going on unnoticed and thus, unaccounted for!! And it's causing our attachments to the material world. It's that ILLUSION that humanity is caught up in and unconsciously conspired in, that is causing all the non body related (supposed) "problems" in the entire world!! You would think that this newspaper would have the courage to print what you just (could have) read. Yet, what we don't understand, we fear. And so I doubt The Verde Independent (Yah right!... "independent"?) will put this article in the local news. How could a non traditionally educated person, like me, be so informing!?

Is this event sponsored by a church? Will it have a Christian based story line?

Wow..pretty harsh words.I have done sound for this since it pretty much started, so i definitely know how it all works. Bret,If you have really been part of this then you know that there is a casting call for actors(all from our current members of the church). Its funny, I even see some people that used to go to the church become part of this show. Not sure why, but its all good. As you should know if you went to our church, we have no orchestra at our church and limited musicians at times, so yes, they are paid if we have nobody in house that can do it. The production department works all year to raise money through different things(sponsors, special events, donations)

As for the animals, they are exotic and have to be brought in ( its just part of the show and pretty cool also).

I am sorry you have such strong words, i think you had fun when and if you were in the show.

I hope you find out why you are so offended and tried to work it out with the offending party. Most people run if they are offended and never get a chance to find healing. Remember . the only person that is affected by offence is the person carrying it, because everyone else has moved on or does not even know there was a offence.
Be blessed in all that you do

As a former member of the church and player in this production, I STRONGLY encourage the public and the community not to Participate or Support this production. They have hired outside the community cast members, musicians, and animal handlers at the Expense of church members and local citizens. This practice has gone on for years and not something the community should support.
