JEROME -- A burglary was reported in Jerome Monday morning about 3 a.m. at the Connor Hotel and Spirit Room bar. According to Sgt. John Kubrock, the suspect entered the second-story hotel from the roof where he took cash and merchandise. Then he broke into the bar, where he damaged the cash register, safe and stole more merchandise.

An investigation by Jerome Police implicated Eamonn Stewart, 28, of Clarkdale. Stewart was located and arrested for the crime Monday at 1:30 p.m. in Jerome. All cash and merchandise was recovered.

Stewart is held at the Yavapai County Jail in Camp Verde, charged with burglary and theft.

Sgt. Kubrock said, the entry showed signs the burglary was an "inside job." Stewart was a former employee of the hotel and had been involved in a domestic dispute the day before in Clarkdale and was on the radar.

He was found sleeping in the brush not far away in Jerome.

Who on earth asks inquires how to get in touch with a person through an online article about a felony they committed? Grow some common sense, Jessica Gonzales. Search facebook or get a phone book like the rest of the world. So inappropriate.
