Man arrested for allowing juvenile coworker to smoke marijuana through vape pipe
Sunday, Cottonwood Police arrested 20-year-old David Demers, of Verde Village, for allowing a 15-year-old coworker to take an intoxicating hit from his E-cigarette, according to a release from the department.

To burn or not to burn: Jerome's latest quandary
On one hand, Jerome was deemed the most hazardous town in the county for fires by Yavapai County Emergency Management. It awarded the town a $25,000 Firewise grant earlier this year to burn fire fuels such as brush. On the other hand, a resident concerned with health issues from the resulting smoke has asked the town to stop burning.
