Cottonwood is finally completing the sound baffle to protect southern neighbors from the sound of the city's dog park.

Crews began mounting the acoustical baffle on a chain link fence Monday.

The fencing is erected on a 6-foot tall earth berm, located between the Riverfront Park Dog Park and neighbors to the south. The sound dampening combination mainly protects homeowners on 8th Street where the city had received complaints.

The project was always intended to be fully completed with the berm, fencing and acoustical foam, according to Development Services General Manager Dan Lueder. He says it has taken a long time to deliver the foam material.

Dan Lueder has proven himself unworthy to work for our city. His ethics are bully attitude are becoming more widely discovered. I've attended several meeting and have seen Dan use a bully pulpit approach to demean people and their opinions. I think his actions cross the line of proper and ethical governance. How much longer will the city be held hostage to his behavior?

Funny, I don't ever recall Leuder saying the sound dampening foam was on order, during all the city council meetings about the noise.

Really a year and a half to get the foam in for the fence ...
