COTTONWOOD -- Enjoy nature walks near the river Sunday mornings. The walks will be held every Sunday at 9 a.m. from through April 21.
Led by Dead Horse Ranch State Park Ranger Margie Sanchez, the hikes meander along riparian areas or stroll though the high desert trails within the park. Hikers need to bring plenty of water, sunscreen and wear appropriate clothing including sturdy shoes and a hat. You might also want to bring binoculars and a camera.
The hikes are a great opportunity for wildlife sights and photo opportunities. Most hikes depart from the West Lagoon Parking area across from Trail Horse Adventures but inquire at the Ranger Station. The $7 day use fee applies but annual passes are accepted. Call for information (928) 634-5283.
