Mystery of the Mystery noise continues
The Verde booms heard around the country, world

Steve Ayers
Staff Reporter

CAMP VERDE - Noises sounding similar to the mysterious ones heard across the Verde Valley on Tuesday afternoon have been reported around the country.

And one reporter at a Rhode Island newspaper says she has heard reports from as far away as London, England, of a similar phenomenon.

The Corsica Daily Sun newspaper in Corsica, Texas, reported mysterious tremors and noises beginning around 3 p.m. local time, 2 p.m. Arizona time.

Reporter Janet Jacobs reports that the Navarro County emergency coordinator, Eric Myers, received calls of "tremors being felt along with a rumbling type of noise."

Two hours later, heavier tremors were felt along with descriptions of "popping and shaking." After the notice was posted on the department's Facebook page, additional reports indicated the phenomenon was felt along a line 50 to 60 miles long.

"They didn't act like any other thing except perhaps earthquake booms, which are low, shallow sometimes undetectable tremors similar to what's been happening locally," Jacobs reported.

The Auburn Plainsman, a student newspaper at Auburn University, reported loud noises around midnight on Tuesday.

Residents in the area of the university reported the sound was "far too loud" to have been a gunshot. Campus police responded but found nothing unusual.

ABC Television WJBF Channel 6 in Columbia County, Ga., reported on several loud booms heard around 9 p.m., local time.

An update from Thursday, on the television station's website, reports that additional loud noises were heard on Wednesday, and Thursday.

According to Channel 6 Web Content Producer Randy Key, reports of noises have been reported "a couple times in the last few months," one of which was believed to have been an unscheduled blast.

Reporter Kim Kalunian, reporter and Webmaster with the Warwick Beacon in Warwick R. I., reports that around 11:20 p.m. local time, social media sites and the town police department began receiving reports of a loud boom that shook area homes.

The police department received over 100 phone calls, prompting a search of the area that came to include the four Coast Guard ships that combed adjacent Narragansett Bay for nearly two hours.

The boom heard around the bay was said by witnesses to have been followed by a low humming noise.

As in the Verde Valley, Warwick locals had their own theories including a bomb, a meteorite, and an alien spacecraft traveling at the speed of light that "ripped a whole in the space time continuum" after stopping short to avoid a squirrel.

In an email sent to Verde Valley Newspapers on Friday, Kalunian states, "I have received emails from as far away as London, England, with reports of booms heard around the same time."

No unusual seismic activity was reported in the Verde Valley or any location reporting the mysterious sounds and vibrations.

Well, if a planet were causing a pole shift, wonder what that would sound like?
Do you ever wonder why our government bought all those rounds of ammunition, or all of the 25 year survivor food? What are the FEMA prisons for and why did they have all of those coffins that hold up to 4 bodies?
Better yet, why is this only talked about on social media? Why no media investigation?

I have searched the internet for these 'strange rumblings' heard all over the earth.

I used google, yahoo, and bing search engines. The times weren't the same, even accounting for a 24 hour difference. The sounds weren't the same either. Some reported hearing a loud buzzing noise, some heard rumblings that were more like pulses and just kept on for about 5 min. One of the videos recorded a noise that sounded just like a jet flying at a low altitude.

These sounds were all different and were at different times and dates. If you stare at the night sky long enough you are certainly going to see that ufo.

You can type in any subject you can think of, and find 10,000 hits that has 10,000 opinions and some of them will no doubt support what you think.

We can believe the earth is cracking up and if it is, ok, nothing we can do about it.

I heard two loud rumblings each of which was followed by a couple of smaller rumblings. The loud rumblings were the initial blast and the subsequent smaller rumblings were echos that is completely normal with the sound of high explosives in deep holes that are about 4 to 8 inches in diameter and drilled as deep as they need to break up and access the material they are after.

Every theory has relevance, but before I accept the end of the world scenario I will continue to try and find logical answers to the inexplicable phenomens' we will, and all have experienced at different times throughout our lives.

Everything is a mystery until it ain't. What we heard in the Verde Valley has a very logical explanation. Its more fun reading all of the opinions and theories.

I didnt know that what they are doing at the cement plant could be felt around the world at the same time. They must be doing some important work at that plant :-)

There are sonic booms, earthquakes, and explosions all over the earth almost all of the time.

I am a retired miner with both experience underground and in the open pit.

The sounds that were heard around the Verde Valley was caused by our friends at the Phoenix Cement plant. They are probably enjoying the theories people are coming up with.
