Wells Fargo Cottonwood Senior Business Banking Relationship Manager Susan Pardee, whose financial services career began 32 years ago in Salt Lake City, has announced plans to retire. Her last day at Wells Fargo will be July 30.
"At Wells Fargo, we believe that our people are our competitive advantage," said Keith Helmer, Business Banking manager for Wells Fargo's Central Arizona district. "Susan has demonstrated how true this is, setting a great example for our team members in serving their customers and communities. Throughout her career Susan has been a wonderful representative of our company, and we wish her well in her retirement."
Pardee began her financial services career in 1978, with First Security Bank in Salt Lake City. She joined Wells Fargo in 1980 (then First Interstate Bank) in Phoenix and served in various roles before becoming senior relationship manager for Wells Fargo Cottonwood Business Banking in 2007. She is a 20-year resident of the Verde Valley.
In her 32-year career, Pardee has seen the industry transform from pen and paper transactions to Internet banking.
"When I began my banking career, everything was processed on paper," she said. "Since then I have seen so many changes. We've streamlined operations and provided our customers with many channels so they can take care of their financial needs when and where they wish. And today's 'banking' has become so much more than checking and savings. Today's Wells Fargo provides the full array of business financial products and services our customers need - including insurance, mortgage, investments and more - to help them succeed financially.
"My career with Wells Fargo has been such a great experience," Pardee added. "Meeting and working with some of the greatest people I'll ever know - my fellow team members and customers - has been so rewarding."
