She has an extensive background in leading the development of Centers of Excellence in heart and vascular, neurosciences, oncology and surgical programs; Centers of Medical Education and research; and many outpatient programs, physician practices and community health and wellness services. Additionally, Dember has been responsible for developing multiple physician-hospital insurance organizations in the managed care arena.

As vice president at VVMC, Dember was responsible for the oversight and operations of multiple programs and services including the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare - Sedona Campus; Emergency Services - Cottonwood and Sedona campuses; Cardiology; Medical Imaging; Surgical Services; Laboratory; and Health Information Management.

In her tenure at VVMC, Dember has been instrumental in further developing key services including an affiliation agreement between the Cancer Centers of Northern Arizona Healthcare - Sedona Campus and The University of Arizona Cancer Center and expansion of the Heart & Vascular Center of Northern Arizona in Cottonwood, Sedona and Camp Verde. Additionally, she was responsible for the administrative oversight and development of VVMC's employed physician practices including family medicine and primary care, orthopedics, general surgery, cardiology, neurology, internal medicine and infectious diseases.

"I am honored to have been selected to serve in this leadership role," Dember said. "VVMC has built a strong and solid foundation providing healthcare to the communities we serve. We will continue to explore and implement new strategies, technologies and processes to keep us current in the ever-evolving healthcare landscape through comprehensive, state-of-the-art hospital and physician services while expanding our vision for and role in disease prevention and population health management, wellness and education. I look forward to working closely with others to create new partnerships to enhance the healthcare services in our community."
